Prevention of School Bullying through Intervention Strategies and Their Impact on Academic Performance

This study addressed school bullying as a global social and educational issue, linked to violent behaviors, dysfunctional family dynamics, and negative consequences for students. The main objective was to analyze the effects of bullying on academic performance, the associated stress levels, and to propose intervention strategies to mitigate its impact. A cross-sectional quantitative research design was employed with a representative sample of students from various educational institutions, using validated measurement tools and confidential questionnaires. Relevant theories and previous studies were reviewed to support the conceptual framework and formulate hypotheses regarding the relationship between bullying and academic performance. The results showed a significant association between being a victim of school bullying and lower academic achievement, along with higher levels of anxiety and depression. Furthermore, social support was identified as a moderating factor, reducing the negative academic impact of bullying. These findings highlighted the importance of designing and implementing intervention strategies focused on prevention, strengthening the school environment, and providing socio-emotional support.
